I painted my first and second floor hallways and stairways with this Activa paint in Segovia Cream. I love that it comes in a resealable plastic container rather than a metal can. I expect leftover paint will last longer in the plastic container without introducing rust into the paint. This is a latex paint for interior use only. Unlike regular paint, there was very little separation of the pigments. Ordinarily, I would take the can to my local paint store and ask that they run the can through their mixer to ensure a good color blend, but the plastic container would probably not hold up under high agitation, so I stirred the paint with a paint stick. The paint is thick in the container; about the consistency of yogurt, so the manufacturer recommends adding a cup of water to thin it out. The paint mixes easily and applies smoothly and easily with a brush and roller. I applied a white primer to the walls prior to applying the Activa paint, and it covered in one coat. I did however have to apply a second coat to areas of the wall where I filled small holes and imperfections with wall patch. The eggshell finish has just the right amount of sheen for an interior wall. The paint dries quickly, and there is virtually no odor. Clean up is accomplished with a mild liquid soap and water. This is my first experience with using a smart paint with deodorizing, self-cleaning, air purifying and biofilm destroying benefits using light energy. While I’m not sure about all that, or the science behind it, the finished paint job looks great.
Pros: Dries Quickly, Easy to Apply, Easy to Clean, Easy to Use, Good Coverage, Looks Great
